Riding Profile
The City of Barrie is built around Kempenfelt Bay on clean and picturesque Lake Simcoe, in the heart of the Georgian Lakelands in Ontario Canada. Over 6.2 million people, representing 40 percent of Canada’s total buying power, live within a 100-mile radius of Barrie. We are within a day’s trucking distance to more than 125 million North American consumers. An overnight trip by truck brings products from Barrie industries to more than 60% of Canada’s market area. Highway 400, a six lane, controlled access highway runs directly through Barrie and places the city on Toronto’s doorstep. Pearson International Airport in Toronto is a 50-minute drive from Barrie (just 20 minutes by air) and gives businesses in our city global access. Here are some links to various local community sites. The City of Barrie’s Website Below you will find a map of our riding.
