MP Brown’s Chilifest raises funds for local charities

Barrie MP Patrick Brown hosted his annual Chilifest to help raise funds for two very important local causes; Alzheimer’s Society of Greater Simcoe County and the Bill Wilkins Scholarship Fund.

“Once again, Chilifest was a great success. I would like to thank the community for coming out and showing their support for these very important causes and participating in Chilifest,” said MP Brown. “I would also like to extend my appreciation to our volunteers as they are a key ingredient to a successful event.”

Many from the community came together and deserve special recognition for their support.  The Georgian College Pre-Fire Service Students for their culinary abilities and wonderful service to the attendees, Lawrence Vindum, Owner of The Butcher Shop at St. Vincent and Cundles for his donation, and the Royal Canadian Legion for providing the facility.
