Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on Korean New Year
January 21, 2011
Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following greeting on Korean New Year: “On behalf of the Government of Canada, it is my pleasure to extend my best wishes as you celebrate Seollal. “While leaving behind the old year, and welcoming in the new, it is a time to enjoy the company of friends and family. As well, it provides a time to reflect on the many successes of the Korean community in Canada. “Korean-Canadians have long been known for maintaining the values of hard work, family and tradition. In turn, this had lead to amazing contributions in business, academia, science and many other fields, across our country. “May the New Year be peaceful and prosperous for you and your family.” |
