PIZZA LUNCH w/ the Barrie Colts a success!

MP Patrick Brown hosted two charity events on Dec. 11th, 2010 at the Barrie Molson Centre

NOON until 1pm:

PIZZA LUNCH w/ the Barrie Colts a success! The entire Colts roster and their Coach (NHL legend Dale Hawerchuk) were on hand to sign autographs. All City of Barrie Council members and Mayor Lehman were also in attendance. Pizza, pop and chocolate milk were served. $1,040.00 was raised for the Barrie Youth Ambassador Program and Dave Morrison was on hand to happily accept the funds from the fundraiser on behalf of the Youth Program.



1:15 pm until 2:45pm:

MP Brown’s 3rd annual FAMILY SKATE was very well attended. Barrie residents were very generous in bringing non-perishable food items. Volunteers from the Elizabeth Fry Society were on hand to collect the donations for the GAP (Grocery Assistant Program). Olympian Jennifer Robinson skated with residents and helped some of the younger skaters with a few pointers to help them in their pursuit of their Olympic dreams. All those in attendance skated to a variety of classic Christmas music and young and old alike thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary Coffee, hot chocolate and candy canes. The family skate was a free admission event.
